Bali won the predicate of "Most Favorite World Travel Destination" at the 2020 PVK Award

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on tourism activities in Bali. however, this also creates a high desire for tourists to come to visit Bali. The beauty of Bali Island will always be a favorite destination for potential tourists both domestic and foreign. This is evident in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Bali once again won the title as "World's Favorite Tourism Destination" at the 2020 PVK Award.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, I Putu Astawa in Denpasar, Monday (14/12). PVK Awards is a prestigious award event in the tourism sector organized by one of the national media PT. Prima Visi Kreasindo (PVK), which is engaged in the tourism segment. The assessment for this award was carried out with the poll conducted by PT. Prima Visi Kreasindo (PVK), from the beginning of November 2020 to 12 December 2020 in order to find names that are entitled to the 2020 PVK Award, Astawa explained. 

Astawa further explained that from the assessment of the poll, Bali managed to become the "Favorite World Tourist Destination Destination" by defeating four other nominees, namely: Paris, Barcelona, ​​Venice and London. The acceptance of the prestigious award from the PVK Award was carried out on Sunday, December 13, 2020 to coincide with the commemoration of Nusantara Day which was held online meeting so that it would still comply with the applicable Covid-19 safety protocol.  "This award is a form of good cooperation between the government and all stakeholders who have worked hard in participating and are sincerely dedicated in developing Bali tourism so that it can be what it is today.

"I dedicate this award to all Balinese people, without exception" said the former Head of Bappeda.

 At the end of the interview, Astawa added that there were seven names of award recipients who won the PVK Award, including:1. Favorite World Travel Destinations - Bali, Indonesia2. Favorite Travel Destinations - Ampera Bridge.3. Favorite Hotels -Hotel Mulia Senayan, Jakarta4. Favorite Airline - Lion Air5. Favorite Tourism Travel Agency - Dwi Daya Tour6. Favorite Indonesian Tourism Bus - Big Bird7. Indonesia's Favorite Online Tourism Media 

Previously it was noted that Bali also won an award by defeating 25 other world destinations in the Travelers Choice event held by Trip Advisor in August 2020, as the Best Tourism Desatination at the international level.

With this predicate, it is hoped that when Covid-19 ends, Bali tourism can really recover quickly and the Bali economy can revive, and people's lives can be prosperous.

To support the return of tourists to Bali, the Bali Provincial Government has prepared well in advance, namely by issuing circular number 3355 of 2020 concerning the New Era Protocol (CHSE), Governor regulation number 46 of 2020 concerning the application of discipline and enforcement of health protocol laws. as an effort to prevent and control Covid-19. The Provincial Government of Bali together with the tourism association has verified all tourism facilities and attractions where until now there have been verified as many as 877 tourism businesses consisting of 538 accommodation, 75 restaurants, 5 Tourism Villages, 83 DTW, 20 RHU, 7 Mall, 40 transportation tours, 73 travel agents, 35 water tours and 1 area. This shows Bali is actually ready, and with this condition, tourists are expected not to hesitate to come to Bali, he concluded.
